Manufacturing Transparency

Raw Revel is committed to ethical working conditions in every part of our supply chain. We conduct face-to-face inspections of the factories and demand independent, third-party audits to confirm that the environment is as safe and healthy as it was shown to us. Even though Raw Revel is not yet required to comply with the California Supply Chain Transparency Act (SB 567), we take the following steps to prevent human trafficking and slavery from occurring in any part of our supply chain.

This section captures how we do verification, audits, certification, internal accountability, and training in line with our commitment to transparency.

- Verification: SB 567 Extract - Engages in verification of product supply chains to evaluate and address risks of human trafficking and slavery. The disclosure shall specify if the verification was not conducted by a third party.

We verify whether our product supply chains are at risk of human trafficking and slavery by mandating a 3rd party certification like GOTS for every manufacturing cycle.

- Audits: SB 567 Extract - Conducts audits of suppliers to evaluate supplier compliance with company standards for trafficking and slavery in supply chains. The disclosure shall specify if the verification was not an independent, unannounced audit.

Raw Revel conducts regular audits of our suppliers to evaluate their compliance with our company standards on human trafficking and slavery. Yearly (once a year) audits are done by Raw Revel ourselves at the same time we rely on GOTS (or a similar 3rd party standard) audit for each manufacturing cycle (our manufacturing cycles last for 70-100 days each).

- Certification: SB 567 Extract - Requires direct suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into the product comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business.

Raw Revel requires a 3rd party certification like GOTS for every manufacturing cycle. GOTS-certified textiles consist of at least 70% certified organic fibres / raw materials. Strict environmental and social criteria in processing lead to responsible production. GOTS itself is a tool to internalize external costs so that the real price is paid for a product. Each garment/product captures the 3rd party certification it holds.

- Internal Accountability: SB 567 Extract - Maintains internal accountability standards and procedures for employees or contractors failing to meet company standards regarding slavery and trafficking.

We maintain maintain accountability and procedures for employees and contractors who fail to meet your company standards on human trafficking and slavery. Our core value of "Dress Responsibly" starts as a guiding light for selection all employees and 3rd parties working with us. Based on audits and reviews we use disciplinary actions, termination, or reporting mechanisms to enforce our standards.

- Training: SB 567 Extract - Provides company employees and management, who have direct responsibility for supply chain management, training on human trafficking and slavery, particularly with respect to mitigating risks within the supply chains of products.

To keep up with the latest trends in labor and human rights issues in our global supply chain, Raw Revel Compliance team participates in trainings and seminars. We also work with third-party entities to gather information from different sources.
